Caracterização do cuidador informal de idosos hospitalizados: um estudo transversal

Objective: to describe the sociodemographic and clinical profile, life habits workload of a family caregiver elderly people admitted university hospital. Method: this is cross-sectional, quantitative study carried out with 161 caregivers/relatives during hospitalization at The Informal Caregiver Burden Assessment Questionnaire was applied participants, data were analyzed using STATA 12.0® program. Resultados: we characterized predominance females, mean age 63 years, sedentary, overweight, systemic arterial hypertension as main comorbidity, severe (41.6%) extremely (29.9%) overload detected in research participants.
